Bula from Fiji!

I have sent many clients to Fiji over the years but this is the first time I have been myself & I must say it has blown me away!

Fiji is an incredible destination for all types of travellers, whether you are a couple, solo traveler, family, love to relax, love adventure - I can confidently say Fiji has it all.

Arrival was very easy, coming from Australia we had to show proof of vaccination & pre book a RAT test at the hotel within 72 hours of arrival. As of 5 September, Fiji have lifted this requirement so you no longer need to do the RAT on arrival.

It took approx 30 minutes to get through customs.

I would recommend pre booking an arrival transfer just so you have someone waiting for you when you arrive. I would also recommend having a bit of cash (AUD or FJD) for tipping the drivers.

Denarau - only 20 mins from the airport, you could say it is the most convenient place for families and those short on time.

Lots of 5 star resorts and not isolated so plenty of different restaurants around to eat at.

Also great if you want to do a few day trips out to the islands as all the sailing departures leave from here.

Coral Coast - approx 1.5 hours drive from the airport. Lots of beautiful beachfront resorts, family friendly (amazing kids clubs & nanny services), and kids eat free at most resorts.

Keep in mind with the coral coast everything is very spread out so you are generally isolated to your resort.

We stayed at the Shangri La and there is an Adults only section of the resort which is great for couples. They have a cocktail hour daily with free cocktails and canapes and a beautiful infinity pool - the only downsite is trying to get a sunlounger!

Our local driver recommended the Outrigger if you want something a little less isolated as its only a short walk to a few local resturants.

Apparently the resort with the best beach is the Intercontinental (also great for golfers).

Pacific Harbour -Approx 2.5 hours drive from the airport, its known as The Adventure Capital of Fiji, with a beautiful coastline, mountains, the famous Beqa Lagoon, the region is a great place for all travelers, especially adventure lovers.

The Islands - Fiji is made up of many islands - there are SO many to choose from and it can be overwhelming.

There are some island resorts that cater to different things e.g party goers, families, adults only for honeymooners etc.

We chose to spend our time on Nacula island (4.5 hour boat ride from Denarau) as it had been recommended, and I can't fault it.

Lots of day trips, hiking, snorkelling straight off the beach, incredible food. The scenery is insane. Again, you are quite isolated to your resort.

As always when I travel somewhere new, I love to share my knowledge and get as many people there as possible - Fiji relies heavily on tourism.
